Cloning tool, brushes and Quick Mask not showing in PS 7

Rubber stamp, brushes or quick mask are no longer showing on the picture. I am using NORMAL mode, 100% opacity and flow. It must be something simple, but I cannot find what I have done wrong. I have checked FAQs, no answer. Any suggestion much aprreciated.

First try them on a new image to be sure it’s not something in the image you’re currently working on. If they still don’t work, reset the prefrences per the FAQ.

Check your brush size, if it is very large such that it will appear huge in the window you are using, then it won’t show (if you have it set up to precise). Also toggle your caps lock to see if it suddenly appears as a x-hair icon.
