Do you get an error message?
Bob
If the Photoshop 3 file hasn’t been corrupted in some way, Photoshop 7 should open it with no problems at all.
I get the message that it’s not a valid Photoshop file. Someone who uses a Mac emailed it to me, I use Windows XP. Perhaps somewhere along the line it did get corrupted. Will see if there are any alternatives.
Thanks for the prompt reply!! – Brian
does the file have the proper extension. if not, try adding .psd to the file name.
If it was mailed from a Mac it may well have a 128 byte MacBinary header that will prevent Photoshop from opening it.
Get them to either ZIP it or STUFFIT before mailing
It does have the proper extension, I’ll have them ZIP or STUFFIT to me and see what that does.
Thanks Again – Brian
Try the ‘Open as’ option and then try TIF instead of PSD, they might have added the incorrect suffix.
