RAW image to open

Does anyone know how to open a digital photo file that has been saved in RAW format using Photoshop 7?

The photo was taken with a Canon PowerShot G5.
I followed the instructions to "Open As" in Windows XP Pro & click on "RAW".
The RAW Options dialogue box opens with the following:

filename.crw (4799234 bytes)
width 2497 pixels height 1922 pixels channels 1 depth 8 bits header size 0 bytes

PS won’t let me "guess" at anything.

When I click "OK" the error message says "specified image is larger than file."

There is one other matching file which I guess to be a header file: filename.thm (6.79 kb)

You will need the Adobe Camera Raw plugin. Note that the plugin will only install if PS7 has been upgraded to 7.01 – I was recently caught out by this. Alternatively the CR plugin works with PS Elements. PS 8 comes out of the box with RAW support.
