How can I make an image or layer transparent at the outer edge? I woul like to take a pictures of my friends, put them on top of a backgroun and have their pictures fade at the edges or transparent…but I nee to make it uniform. I would like the transparency go from 100 in th middle to around 30 at the edge w/o seeing an area where it drop dramatically. Am I making sense? I know what I’m trying to describe I just don’t know if I’m getting it out in words. I would hav searched for the answer, but I don’t really know how to string th search.

Any help is appreciated.

I guess I’m trying to make a vignette. I found another thread about i and would like to be able to create it w/o having to remove an oval ou of a rectangle then soften the edge. My backgrounds have texture so i would look weird changing the rectangle color to match the background
