Well after experimenting for a few minutes. All this font enumerating nonsense that’s being talked about. Just start the application monitor the task manager see 4% cpu load. Look at the network. CS seems to be ‘pinging’ something?
Now disable the nework adapters.
Restart CS. Now it starts first time like PS 7.0.
The big question is why?
What’s it doing?
How do you stop it?
Btw. Windows XP Dual Xeon 1GHz. SGI 550.
Please if you respond to this be constructive and leave out the arguments about Windows XP and Mac OS. I use Mac’s at work and XP at home.
