Seems like a simple question that I can’t find an answer to in Adobe doc’s or web..

What is the best procedure for move/copy or resinstall Plug-ins after upgrading to CS from 7.0 (Windows). I use several from Nik, Extensis, Microtek and so forth.

What about Presets like those from Jack Davis’ WOW book, can they be copied over to CS folders and still work OK?

Thanks for your generous feedback!!!

For most plugins I’d recommend simply creating a new folder and copying the third party plugins from PS 7’s plugin folder to it.

You can then tell PS CS to use that folder as the secondary plugins folder. You can set that up in your preferences.

You may get a dll error for some of them, especially Extensis plugins. If that’s the case simply copy the dll from the PS 7 folder to the PS CS folder.
