I am using the default settings. When I print out any Photoshop prints, the space between the photos and the edges is a pale yellow color cast. All of my
other output (Microsoft and other graphic programs) is a clean white. Any ideas what is causing this and how to correct it?

Try turning off ‘Background’ in your printer dialog box.

I have a Lexmark Z51 printer. Where would I find this Background print option, assuming that there is one. I don’t see one on the printer setup nor looking through Photoshop print options or setup options.
