Hi, all. I’ve been using photoshop to enhance my drawings for about two years. Recently, I’ve experienced problems I’ve never encountered previously. It goes something like this:
Last night, I colorized one of my line drawings, generating an image which was sharp, smooth and crystal clear. Everything looked fine, and once I’d finished, I saved it in jpeg format, same as I have about a zillion times before.
This morning, I opened the file to do some final detailing, and the image looked grainy and sort of ‘clumped’ if you know what I mean. I attempted to smooth it out using smart blur (or air brush in some cases), but the image turned grainy all over again after I saved, closed and re-opened later.
This has been happening for about two weeks, and I can’t work out what’s causing it or how to prevent it. I haven’t changed any settings from what I normally use, and I’ve tried different ‘remedies’, such as saving the image in different formats.
I’m at my wits’ end trying to figure this one out. Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem? Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated at this point.
Thanks.
K.
