Theoretically all the fonts on the hard-drive are available for use in Photoshop, even the one’s supplied for applications such as Word. Photoshop will also distort fonts created on layers.

Are you looking for fonts not on your computer? If so, go to http://cgm.cs.mcgill.ca/~luc/fonts.html
This is not a font site, but a list of links to other commercial or free sites offering fonts for both Mac and PC.

As for snazzy text, one man’s snazzy is another man’s over-the-top. Plugins are mainly used for filters.
Try some ‘hollow’ fonts – outlines only with the picture showing through or handwriting fonts. You can also take letter-shaped elements from one picture and place them in another using the Type Mask tool.

How do you define "snazzy text"?

If you are using Photoshop 6 or above try on some of the Layer Styles. The only plugin that I can remember about text was I think from Human Software, Xaos, AutoFX. PS CS does text along a path and you can fake extrusion with layer styles and layers so no need to plop down more cash for plugins. Get the CS upgrade for 169 bucks from Adobe and save yourself some cash on plugins.
