Fade video in and out

I want to use an image that when a web page opens, a portion of th image fades to a wmv video and after the video plays, fade that portio of the image back to it’s original state.

I already have the code to insert and manipulate the video, I need t know how to fade the video in and out.

I’m not sure exactly what you mean but if
I’m close, then I would make the whole thing
a video, including the still.
