Hi all,

I saw this photo on photo.net and fell in love with it!

Nevermind the flowers or the stuff inside there how on earth do I get the borders? Would I use the path function to put in a brush or a pattern of brown and golden(yellow/white) around a shape? If so how do I go about doing this? The borders seem intricate, anything basic to get me started would be appreciated! 🙂

If I were going to try, I would first use the pen tool to make paths that corresponded to the thicker dark brown areas around the photo and stroke those paths with the color of choice. Then, on a separate layer, I would use the pen tool again to draw the paths for the thinner yellowish lines and stroke those. The pen tool should give a person enough flexibility to complete the arches and curves of the borders.

I guess the stroke function would be helpful
