Windows XP Pro & Adobe Photoshop 7

I got a big problem. On my PC (p4 @ 2.6GHz,NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440)I have installed WinXP PRO & SP1. Problem is that after installing Photoshop 7 (I tried also with v 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 and it’s the same) when I try to start it, Photoshop returns an error message and shuts down.

If anybody knows what I have to do to make it work, please let me know. Thanx.

That all depends on what your error message said. It could be a number of things.

And how exactly did you install XP? Anything other than a clean install is recipe for disaster so if it was an upgrade all bets are off.

Also note that Photoshop 7 dies pretty quickly with a very bizarre error on betas of Windows XP. Although those should all be expired by now…

try installing new video drivers fron NVIDIA, that solved some crashes I was having.
