there are lots of offers on ebay.de that sell these for 90 euro. I want to make sure this are not crooks…

I think there was. Kodak used to give it away with a highish-end camera. I remember considering it, thinking "Gosh – PS with a free camera". 🙂

Having said this, selling it alone would be illegal.

there you go. if not sold with the equiptment it originally sold/shipped with, it’s illegal, therefore, probably hit or miss whether it’s uprgadable for any particular user or not.
