I have a bit of text, about 30 pixels tall, that will be converted to an image when done. The text is "On The Move". How can I jazz it up a bit so that it conveys the idea of motion? I tried a few things, such as a right hand-pointing 3d-ish arrow, but it all came off looking rather amateurish, which I still consider myself to be! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as well as good instructions.

Uhm… I dunno, maybe skew it to the right? You know, Edit|Transform|Skew, then drag the upper right corner to the right?

Just a thought.

Maybe dashes to the left of it, like three of them… free association here.

Another guess is; Filter / Blur / Motion Blur

Yeah, hard to tell because it depends on how it’s used: comical, or understated… all that.

I tend to use a combination of Yrbk and John M’s ideas.

First I use edit>Transform>Skew. Then I duplicate the layer. I then apply Filter>Stylize>Wind>Blast to the duplicated layer. Then I scooch the duplicated layer slightly to the left.
