Damn Dingbats problem

A friend and I have downloaded and installed a Dingbat font , we both use PS 7 and on my machine they run fine on hers though it’s a no go just blank where the Dingbat should be. Have run through the settings together still a no go.The Dingbat is listed in her font list in PS it goes through the motions just nothing displaying , even stranger when she uses the Dingbat in MS Word it works fine. Any ideas? Yep she has uninstalled and reloaded it and still no go..

False alarm sorry guys she had a PS crash earlier and the text presets in the character pallette got locked on caps , reset the pallete so closed and reopening PS returned things to normal.
