Hi all!
I am not sure this is the right NG to ask the question – but I’ll give it a try.
Last week I bought a new TFT monitor (Sony SDM-S93) for my trusty G3 B&W running OS X and Adobe CS. After connecting the new panel sometimes RGB is off, only purple and green.
After switching the OS on the first time, the desktop image was purple-green (PG), only the original desktop images from Apple were displayed correctly. Checking a second G3 gave the same result. Using my scanned images colors were off.
What is happening – I don’t know, sometimes colors are OK and now they are off again.
Opening a .TIFF image in PS now is PurpleGreen only, opening the same image in Illustrator is RGB as it should be.
– using my older CRT monitor colors were OK in same setup – using a smaller and cheaper Sony TFT colors are OK in same setup
I can’t put my finger on yet but I get the feeling that PS is interfering somehow with general display settings.
Any thoughts on this – anyone??
Robert
