Today I installed Photoshop 7 and it appointed itself as the default image viewer.

How do I turn it off or reverse it.

If I go to Windows Explorer > My Pictures, Photoshop 7 automatically loads.

I want Photoshop 7 to load when I want it to load.

I want to be able to view images from within Windows Explorer as I was able to do before installing Photoshop 7.

Any help will be appreciated.

Wally,

When you installed PS7 you were given the option to designate whatever field you required for your settings.

Reinstall PS and uncheck the boxes you DON’T want PS to change. Then it won’t encroach on your behaviour.

I think that’s only if you select "Custom" install. Getting the associations back to where the were before installing ps7 is going to be a manual type by type process

If you go into windows explorer> view> file types, in many cases there’s a "default" button that’ll take you back, but not always, and only (i think) in XP. I don’t recall seeing that feature in 9x/me.
