Is there some tool I can use for tiling?

My background for my webpage shows seams and I need to cut it in such a fashion that the end of diagnals match the beginning of diagnals.

one way to do it is to opren your image on photoshop, then go to Filters > Others > Offset..

to view a tutorial: http://www.sketchpad.net/tiling1.htm (old but it works the same)

Make sure to make your lines at a 45° angle (holding shift while you stroke diagonally should get it).

And let’s say you’re making a B&W pattern; once you have plenty of lines, make a selection using the rectangular marquee tool starting from the top (holding shift for a square selection) selecting from the left side of a black stroke to the right side of a white stroke; or vice versa, so that it starts with one color and ends with the other. Then crop or copy/paste into new document (safer) and save for web as your backgound pattern. You might also want to Define Pattern and save it for future use.
