I have been happily using PS 7.0 for a long time. Yesterday something went wrong! PhotoShop closes it’s self before it finished loading. First I reinstalled it from the original CD and later I did another recovery from a recent back on an external hard drive.
I can now open PS but it will no longer open files that it had no problem with in the past.
I get the following message:
Could not open "I:\path\filename" because there is not enough memory (RAM)
The preference window tells me that My available memory is 345 MB Maximum used by Photoshop 50% =172 MB (I have moved this from 33% to 100% with no change)
The files I’m now trying to load are big at 25,760 KB but PS was able to do this a few days ago!
My first Scratch Disk has 105 GB of free space. My second Scratch Disk has
6.67 GB of free space.
Cache Levels: 8
I suspect that something is set wrong but I have no idea what it cold be.
What am I missing.
Dead in the water,
Dave
