Thanks for all the help on my "Slowed to a crawl" posting – turns out my main problem was having really BIG files – several of them, with lots of layers – opened at the same time. I’ve been merging layers to speed things up – so far seems to be working.
Newest problem. Somehow two layers got linked, and I don’t mean with that little chain in the box next to the eyeball. The upper layer is a color overlay set to "multiply" to color in the b&w line drawing under it. The name of the line drawing layer in the pallette has an underline. I can’t do any other effects to that line drawing layer – somehow the linkage seems to have the layer locked.
I’m going thru my Quickstart book & can’t find the answer. FYI, there’s no little bug straddling the line between the two layers, which seems to be the indicator for a clipping group, so I guess this isn’t a clipping group (whatever that is). Any suggestions?
