For the benefit of those who aren’t into scripting, there’s a very flexible way to do this with an action, plus the same action can be used against all images — regardless of image orientation or resolution if:
* The logo is converted to a Custom Shape (there’s a good tutorial here for creating a Custom Shape: www.trimoon.com). Custom Shapes can be selected and placed using an action.
* When the action is recorded the Ruler units are set to Percent

The logo is placed according to relative image location, e.g., 80% to the right and 70% from the top. Likewise the shape is sized relative to image size.

It works quite well.
