Get ride of Device Central?

I have absolutely no use for Device Central (yet, anyway…). Is there a way to get rid of it? I’m sure its presence slows loading PS and consumes (virtual) memory.

Um, Rid, not Ride…

It is a separate program and not built-in to Photoshop or any other CS3 program. It is like loading Bridge. So it isn’t affecting the speed or loading time or the memory use of Photoshop.
