I use Adobe Elements (~$100-$150). I couldn’t find a specific Elements NG.
I CAN NOT afford the full boat Adobe Photoshop, don’t recommend.
Is there something better than Adobe without a big price increase? My editing needs are not elaborate. Lighten, darken, blur now and then, color correct, crop, resize. Occasionally like to do text over image with less than 100 percent opacity. I’m not a graphic artist. Just want a good program at reasonable cost.
Elements is okay, but, very slow loading, clunky (seems to needs lots of resources). Has more capability than I need. About resources… even on my most capable box (P4 3 MHz 1 Gig RAM) is still is slower/clunkier than I like.
If this is just something I need to live with, tell me that too. I just want to know if there something better. I’m also using MS Office 2003 Pro but can’t find anything in Office better than Elements.
Thanks,
-Frank
