A related question on LCD monitors, I see that there are 2 types of DVI cables: dual-link & "single-link"(?).
As I am now using the LG 1930b for about 2 hrs, the LG doesn’t include a DVI monitor cable, just an analog cable, which type of DVI cable is sufficient? Will try to find, info but other than "expensive", I never thought that I need to consider DVI cable types!
Check the manufacturers tech data for cable info. I’m not a monitor technician and I don’t know the model details so I can’t give you a sensible answer. LG should have the relevant details online, including cable type for your monitor.
As far as I know, if it has a connector that fits the monitor at one end, and a connector that fits the computer at the other, and it works when you plug it in, it’s OK. <g>
Do be aware though, that there different types of digital connections used by different manufacturers. Again, that’s why you need to check the monitor specs (and the video card connector).
