I just want to draw a simple, round circle, 3 pixels in weight, empty/transparent on the inside. I’m using Photoshop 7.0. How do I do this?

Get your circle marquee tool. Hold shift and drag the marquee on a new canvas with a transparent background. Go to image/stroke/ enter 3 pixels.

At least that’s what I’d do. 🙂

No problem, Kelli! Your advise was still very good. Like I said, I still use that technique on occasion and I believe it may be easier for a beginner than the layer effect technique. (It contains fewer steps and doesn’t involve the vector shapes, shape layers, or that effects dialog.)
