PS8 tiffs will not open in PS7

The images were created in PS8, Nikon D80, Tiff 8-bit. The program does not recognize the modules.???? PS7 will not open them.

Based on some other information I have gathered from reading through some of these messages, there is apparently a problem with tif images and Photoshop 7.0. The issue was fixed in the 7.01 update that can be downloaded from Adobe. Personally, I haven’t experienced this problem. But others have. As far as I can see, the simplest solution would be to convert the images to PSD documents.

The 7.0.1 fix wouldn’t account for what Donna said.
