How to change colours in Layer Styles?

The Layer Style (PS 6) dialog, particularly the Bevel/Emboss Stroke and Colour Overlay options, produce either a harsh red or Blue and there seems no way to change this. Does anyone have a clue how to ?

Just click the color and then pick a new one.
