Meaning of psd icons

The psd files when displayed in Windows Explorer have different icons associated with them. Some have the regular icon, but others would have different ones: one has a red bandaid, and another has a green center. Yet the files properties look the same. What do the different icons mean, and how many are there?

Next to nothing (i.e. purely cosmetic) and lots
