Hi again,
I was very happy to get all these answers to my question about image resolution for printing.
If I understood everything I think it should be ok to have a 300ppi image and get it printed to the shop.
But I would like to answer to some persons, because maybe I did not make myself clear (sorry for that, I am french..)
I know that my image will be smaller. No problem.
I have a Minolta E323, which resolution is 3.2 Mp. When making photos, I use 2048×1536 for the image width. I thought it was a pretty high resolution. When I open the photos whith photoshop, as I said, it’s 72ppi and the image size is 28.44 x 21.33 inches, which is pretty big.
To "transform" the image, here is what I do:
CTRL+A, CTRL+C and then new file, I choose 300ppi and then I paste the image. Then I get a 6.82 x 5.12 inches image, which could be OK to print, don’t you think?
I would like to know if I am doing it right. And doing that, will my photo will be ok when printed in a store?
Thanks again.
