I’ve scanned in an image from a poster. Taking the image into phptoshop i then use the eyedropper to select colours on the image and fill in other areas and touch it up.

It all looks fine on screen and after ive saved it to jpeg but when i print the new "touched-up" image on my CanonIP4000. The "touch up" comes out as a slightly a different shade and its noticeable where i have "touched up" the image.

Any ideas whats happening and how to solve this problem? TIA

When using the eye dropper you pick the colour of a very limited area. What on the screen seems to be the same colour everywhere, will certainly have many different shades.

Try to touch-up with the stamp tool and see what result that gives. Or use the smooth (?) finger.
