I am a newcomer to this forum (I usually hang out in the GoLive forum), so please excuse me if I am posting a question on a topic that has already been done to death.
I have been using PS CS since shortly after it was launched without any problems. However, in the last few days, it freezes on starting up. When I click on the icon, it starts off OK and gets as far as displaying the menus, but the splash screen is still being displayed when it simply freezes. I have worked through the Adobe FAQ for this situation, uninstalling and reinstalling in both normal and safe mode, but to no avail. I am running a system with AMD 3200+ 400 FSB CPU, Asus Nvidia FX 5200 video card with 256 Mb RAM, 1012 Mb DDR RAM, etc. I have recently downloaded and installed the latest Nvidia video card driver, but that should fix problems rather than the reverse……should it not??????? 🙂
Any suggestions?
Many thanks.
