sRGB monitor & Adobe Gamma

I just updated the utility software for my monitor (Mitsubish Diamond Pro 2070SB) and noticed a new "sRGB" setting under configuration. It removes any contrast and brightness controls and played havoc with my color settings. I was able to use Adobe Gamma to get the color right, but it still looks a bit dark to me (and quite warm, 6500k).

So basically my question is: is this a good thing? Or is it aimed at something other than a Photoshop to inkjet workflow?

If you started at 9300K, it will look quite warm!

Invest in a spyder type calibrator. It sets all of it up correctly.

You should have recourse to the brightness/contrast controls. PhotoCal has you set them by eye, Optical sets them durng the calibration run.
