Comparing Scans in Photoshop

I would like to compare two identical images that I have scanned into PS 7. One was scanned with an Epson 1200, the other with an Epson 3490. Is there a way in which I could what specific differences in color range, etc., resulted from the two scanners?

Thanks, but I was hoping for a more accurate method. Using the eyedropper, one would need to be certain that the place they selected on both scans was precisely the same.

Anything else is going to be much more of an average. I’ve found the 5×5 sample to be sufficiently accurate for matching and other uses.

you might try putting one image on top of the other and setting the layer style to difference
