Quite often I want to put text notes in a particular image file. I’ve thought about making a hidden text layer to hold the notes.

Is there a better way?

Type ALT+CTRL+I and fill in the Fle Notes

Use the annotation tool located to the left of the eyedropper. You can hide it with Ctrl-H.

That was so straight forward, I wonder how I missed it. And I have had a couple of Photoshop courses, I wonder what else I am missing.
