It seems that when I use the clone stamp tool and alt-click the stamp is aligned whether the alignment is checked or not. Is there something I’m missing or need to know? TIA

Not that I can see. Something seems to be
malfunctioning. You are saying that no matter
what you do the clone tool is aligned, right?
