Photoshop stopped opening?

Yesterday when I open Photoshop 7 it would start it’s boot process but then abruptly boot me out before opening. I uninstalled then reinstalled but nothing changed. This happened before several years ago and I vaguely recall a simple remedy of deleting some file or files and some kind of automatic rebuild would then take place the next time I opened photoshop.

Can anyone please give me some advice to remedy this situation?

Try resetting your Preferences. Hold down Shift-Alt-Ctrl while starting Photoshop and hit Yes in the dialog.

If that doesn’t work watch carefully what’s loading and where it dies. Might be corrupted font or something like that.
