i’m using p’shopt 7.0.1 on a win2000 box approx. 750MB ram 20GB hard drive

have found on several PC’s of the above spec. that when i reposition ruler guides when zoomed in to see individual pixels on a reasonably large file that strange (buggy) things occur. moving a ruler guide a few px to the right (with the Move Tool) will in fact duplicated the guide to the new position. then if i delete the original guide, then zoom to see the whole image, another vertical guide on a different part of the image will have been deleted aswell.

am 99.99% sure this is not a user inflicted anomaly. i’ve known illustrator on PCs to do the same thing.

is there a patch available? is this a ‘known’ bug in Win Ph’shop 7.0?

use the guides to make drop repeat style patterns and they need to be acurate to within 1 pixel, which necessitates zoom in tight.

would appreciate any advice, even if it is "give up i can’t get it to work either"

kind regards to all
alastair
