Green eyes

add a layer, paint over them green on the new layer, try different blend modes?

There is no slack in light attack.

First off, make sure you’re woring in the Adobe RBG 1998 color space, or some such space that has a good color gamut. The native space for digital camera’s is sRGB which tends to be washed out.

Otherwise, use your fav selection method on the irises and use Selective Color or Hue/Saturation to bring up the elusive green values you’re looking for. Also, in the Hue/Sat. window, try checking the Colorize box and use the sliders to get to the Green you’re after. Dial it back a bit afterwards to avoid the alien-like results you’ll bound to get.

Try this: select the irises and use Image>Adjust>Hue/Saturation to bump up the saturation. With luck you’ll be able to bring out the actual color rather than having to re-create it.
