When I scan an image in 48 bit, There are certain functions that I cannot use. Most of my filters are grayed out. So I am assuming that Photoshop CS does not fully support 48 bit images.
What is the highest bbit rate I can scan at? Is 36 bit good?

Thanks,
Dennis

Photoshop CS has more 16/48bit functionality than previous versions of Photoshop.

There are still some features not available with 16bit files that are available with 8 bit files.

so if you want to use all of your filters, you need to scan 8bit, or change the file from 16bit mode to 8bit mode.

48 bits per channel? (which nobody supports that I know of)

Or do you mean 16 bits/channel RGB ? (which Photoshop does support)

Yes, not all of the filters have been updated for 16 bit/channel support.

We’ve got Solarize Chris. What else do we need? 😉

If we could vote, displace would be useful in 16bit!
