Thank you all for your help, I feel we’re getting closer.
If I uncheck contiquous, then all white all over the image gets selected (bare in mind, I’m working on a black-inked cartoon done with a tablet pc).
Currently I have "New Selection," 0 tolerance, unchecked anti-aliased, checked contiquous (tried without, see above), unchecked use all layers.
Also, even though I have Tolerance set to zero, the selection tool is still picking up none pure-white pixels, darker grays, and sometimes black pixels. Is it feathering? I’m not sure how that works or how to turn it off.
