Greetings.

I was tinkering with trying to make a pattern brush but couldn’t I did manage though to change the default circle brush to an oval shape and now I can’t set it back to a circular shape. I have tried resetting all the brush tools and tool presets to no avail. I have gone into the preferences window to change it to brush size and that didn’t help either. What the heck have I done wrong and better yet how do I fix it.

Thanks

Go to Window > Brushes and click on Brush Tip Shape. You’ll see the cross hair like image on the right with the oval brush shape. drag the brush on an axis and drag it back to a circle or set roundness to 100%

Thanks for the "tip" ! I will save that one for future reference. I also found out that I had imported a file with pixel perspective correction. This caused my circle to be squased. I changed the pixel preview option off and got back my circle. but your way will definitely come in handy when I try another custom brush.
