I have a 10mb .psd file that when I open it, I can not go into adjustments from the Image menu, I can not use any filters (they are greyed out) among other things. I checked all the layers and they are not locked. I even tried using a selection but that didn’t not allow any of the above mentioned. Anyone have any ideas on this? How can I file this? I did notice that if I saved it to a much smaller.jpg version that I could then do what I wanted, but then I do not have the quality I want. Any help is appreciated. Thanks much.

where phos is going: if you’re using ps7 lots of filters are disabled in 16 bit mode. cs has some improvements in this area but there are still some that don’t work.

like he says, check the image mode and tell us what you’re trying to do. dave

It says that it is 8 bit RGB color. So not sure why I wouldn’t be able to do anything.

Go to the folder where the file is located. Change the properties(right click) from read only.
