And this version might have what fixes and or added functionality? Being I just got CS 8.0 and have bairly got the wrapper off and the CD installed. Cost of upgrade?

Not sure what upgrade paths Adobe offer, but I suspect a free (or low cost) upgrade will be available.

New features: Smart Layers, Perspective tools and some new blending tools. Also, I think no more ImageReady (it has been integrated).

But until this is official, I’m not 100% sure.
