I am having difficulty turning an rgb into a cymk file I have used some matting effects to acheave transparent bubbles in a design for a brochure.when I turn the image into cmyk the bubbles turn opaque. My print company do accept pdf documents and the document looks fine when converted.Will they now be able to print the text and seperations ok

When you see opaque bubbles, is it in a soft proof?

For output, my suggestion is to save as PDF without layers, zip compression, fonts embedded and vectors retained.

Save as PSD first.

A wild guess… Could it be that you first turn into CMYK and aftwerwards flatten?

If it’s that, I’d make it the other war round: First flatten and then turn it into CMYK.
