I’ve recently upgraded from Windows PS7 to Mac PS CS and have noticed the following anomaly. When I open a PS7 file on the Mac various options are "grayed out" (Adjustments, Apply Image, Calculations, Merge Layers, etc.). I’ve tried several work arounds, but the only thing that seems to work is to add a blank layer to the file. At this point, all of the grayed out options become visible. However, if you delete the blank layer you are back in the same boat. I know that this may not be the best solution so I would appreciate any guidance that you may offer.

Seems odd. I haven’t heard of this one before. Maybe you should trash Prefs.
