I installed my upgrade (PS CS2 from PS7)and it worked fine once. Now every time I try to launch PS CS2 it gives me at least six error messages all saying "MSVCRT10.dll not found error – reinstall may help." Then it finally opens if I keep clicking ok to error messages. It will not let me see "what’s new in photoshop" either from help menu.

First TRY: I have installed (repaired) and rebooted but still get same error message.

FINAL TRY to FIX: I have already reinstalled/repaired and that didn’t work – so I uninstalled entire program and then reinstalled and still get same message. Help please! What do I do?
Thanks! Pat 🙂

I had a similar problem on my Windows 2000 Pro machine. The fix was to remove PS CS2 and reinstall it while logged on as Administrator. The installation went OK on my Windows XP Pro machine.

If you have installed Filter Factory from the "Goodies" folder, you need to copy MSVCRT10.dll to the Photoshop directory from the FFactory directory in the "Goodies" folder. Or perhaps you copied some third-party filter or plugin that requires this DLL, from the PS7 installation to the relevant CS2 folder. See if copying the DLL from the "Goodies" folder to the Photoshop CS2 directory solves the problem.

Thanks! It worked perfectly from FFactory!

You saved me a lot of cell phone and possible wait customer service time!

Thanks very much! Maybe your posting will help someone else like me (not so computer savvy).

Have a great day! You made my weekend!
