Hello everyone,

I am having continued problems with resizing cropped images in both Photoshop Elements 2 and Photoshop 7 and I have no idea what is causing it. Basically, I seem to be creating ‘wobbly’ lines along some straight edges. Please take a look at the image below. All that has been done from downloading from the camera is to rotate it slightly CW and then crop, with the aspect ration on 3:2. Then the image has been resized to 1200×800 pixels. Look along the leading edge of the tail and a ‘wobbly’ effect is noticable.

Here is one done by a friend of mine, with no sign of the problem. Any pointers as to a possible cause would be greatly appreciated.

Tim Goodwin.

Have you got your preferences set to bicubic?
Is your friend doing things in the same order as you?
I would always resize to a larger size than the final
before rotating …
