Hi, I am new to this forum and photo elements and I was just wondering how you create a mouse over web button. I have created the 2 images I want to use but I can’t work out how to get the mouse over to work.

Also I want to add the buttons to a background image so that I can use it as a template, is this possible.

Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.

Angela,

Elements can’t generate the javascript for roll overs, for that you need something like Image Ready, which ships with Photoshop, or you need to use a web page editor like GoLive. What you can do in Elements is create the Gifs for each state.

How you do that is, create a gif, duplicate it, change the color or add a layer style like a bevel to the second one. Do this for each state you want (down, over, normal). The shapes tool is very handy for this sort of thing.
