Editing a clipping path

I have been able to edit clipping paths before, but now I can’t. When I attempt to use the little arrow tool, it just drags the layer while leaving the clipping path intact.

Are you using the ‘Direct Selection Tool’ (the outlined arrow tool under the Path selection tool)?

Try pressing the CTRL key as you drag.
