Please help me with removing text

I have a logo from which I would like to delete the text. I would then like to copy the background to make it look like there was nothing there to begin with. The background is a rather complex blue gradient. There isn’t much of it to select between the existing letters. I am newbie when it comes to PS so please help me. Thanks. Paul

can we see a sample in a link?… i’m guessing you’ll need to use the clone tool if the file is gif or jpg. if it’s psd and the text hasn’t been rasterized, you might be in luck… more info and possibly a link, please…

then the path tool may help you sketch it out and recreate it…
